September Shop Updates: SVG Fixes, Vinyl Upgrades, and a Shipping Note

TL;DR:

  • Star Burst and Axis Echo SVGs updated—now import as one solid shape.

  • July & August Sub Boxes + Project Box added to Sub Box History page.

  • Matte vinyl is now thicker and less stretchy.

  • Holographic vinyl is shinier and easier to work with.

  • Vinyl giveaway is still open (don’t miss it!).

1) SVG Template Fix: Star Burst & Axis Echo

If your design software kept splitting Star Burst and Axis Echo into a billion tiny pieces (rude), that’s fixed. Both files are now saved as a single compound path so they stay one piece when you import them into Cricut, Silhouette, Illustrator, etc.

What to do:

  • Re-download the updated files from your account/order email.

  • Delete the old version from your software’s recent files so you don’t accidentally grab it.

Pro tip: If an SVG ever looks fragmented, try “Weld”/“Combine”/“Unite” in your software. These new versions shouldn’t need it, but it’s a good trick to know.

2) Sub Box History: July & August Added

I’ve updated the Sub Box History page with July and August (including the Project Box info). If you like to peek at past contents for inspo—or FOMO—this is your new cozy corner.

3) Matte Vinyl Upgrade: Thicker, Less Stretch

Our matte vinyl got a quality boost: it’s thicker and less stretchy. Translation: it behaves better on cups, resists distortion when you lift and reposition, and takes cleaner trims along edges and seams.

Working tips:

  • Do a tiny test cut (always the hero).

  • Slightly reduce pressure if you notice deep scoring on backing.

4) Holographic Vinyl Upgrade: Shinier & Easier

The holo line is now extra shiny (hello, pop) and easier to weed and transfer. The new finish keeps the sparkle you love while playing nicer during application.

6) Shipping Update: Packing on Fridays

To streamline the chaos (and my sanity), I will sometimes be packing weekly orders on Fridays when I'm overloaded.

What that means:

  • Orders placed Saturday–Thursday are packed on Friday and then handed off for shipping.

  • Orders placed Friday may roll to the next Friday if they miss the packing window but I will be mindful of this and try to get these out sooner.

  • If you have a deadline, pop a note at checkout and I’ll do my best.
